Delete your Pantrini account

Last updated 2 August 2026

You can delete your Pantrini account, and everything in it, from inside the app. It takes about ten seconds and it does not need to go through us.

The short version

Deleting it yourself, in the app

  1. Open Pantrini.
  2. Tap the Profile tab.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm with Delete permanently. That is the point of no return.

There is nothing to wait for and nothing to approve. The account is gone when the screen closes, and the email address is free to sign up again from scratch.

If you have already uninstalled the app

Write to [email protected] from the email address you signed up with, and ask for your account to be deleted. Sending it from that address is how we know it is you, so a request from another address will get a reply asking you to resend rather than an action.

We will confirm within 30 days, and in practice much sooner. You do not have to give a reason.

What gets deleted

All of it, from the live database, at the moment you confirm:

Pantries you own disappear for everyone sharing them. If other people are using a pantry you created, it goes when your account goes. It is worth telling them first, or handing the pantry over by having someone else recreate it.

What is kept, and for how long

WhatKept forWhy
Encrypted database backups containing your data Up to 30 days Backups are snapshots and cannot be edited. They are overwritten on a rolling cycle and are never restored to undo a deletion.
Payment and invoice records As long as tax and accounting law requires, typically several years Held by Stripe or by Google Play, not by us. We cannot delete these, and neither can they.
Request logs A short rolling window Operational only. They contain no pantry contents.

Nothing is archived, anonymised and kept for analysis. There is no "deactivated" state and no recovery window: we do not sell or share your data, so there is nothing to hold on to.

Cancel your subscription first, if you have one

Deleting your account does not by itself stop a subscription you bought through Google Play, because Play owns that billing relationship and not us. Cancel it in the Play Store under Payments and subscriptions, then delete the account. If you subscribed on this website instead, deleting the account cancels the Stripe subscription with it.

Deleting only part of your data

You do not have to delete the account to get rid of something. Items, pantries, shopping list lines and alerts can all be deleted individually in the app, and doing so removes them properly rather than hiding them.

The full detail of what is stored and who processes it is in the privacy policy.
